What Planning and Conservation review is required when building an addition on my house?

Several factors come into play from a Planning and Conservation standpoint if you are planning to expand your home. First, you will need to determine if you have wetlands in or around the project area. If so, this may trigger a filing with the Conservation Commission. Second, depending on the size of the addition (over 600 square feet), you will be required to file a Simple Stormwater Management Application through Planning. Please feel free to contact the Planning and Conservation Department if you have any questions about the requirements of your project.
