Notice of the Annual Town of Wilmington Voter Inactivation

According to Massachusetts General Law Chapter 51 section 37, the office of the Town Clerk will be doing an inactivation of any voters that did not return their 2022 Census.  If we did not receive your signed Census, your voter registration is changed to inactive.  This means that you will have to prove that you still live in the Town of Wilmington when you go to the polls to vote.  You can do this with a utility bill or a license.   It does not mean that you are no longer registered to vote.  You can check your voter registration status on https://www.sec.state.ma.us/ovr/ We will be mailing a confirmation postcard to anyone who has been inactivated.  It has a preposted postcard that you can sign and mail back to make your status active.  To avoid this in the future, be sure to sign and return your census on time!
