The State’s contractor for this project, MDR Construction Co., Inc., is   anticipating to resume roadway work along Woburn Street and Lowell Street on April 1, 2024 with utility and drainage improvement work.  The project is expected to be a multi-year project, including various phases for corridor widening, dedicated left turn lanes, utility/drainage improvements, new mast arms/signals, bicycle lanes, sidewalks, and crosswalks.

The Town will be resuming bi-weekly meetings with the contractor and MassDOT starting on March 21, 2024.   The contractor is contractually obligated by the State to provide a 3-week look-ahead for scheduling and notification purposes.   To keep the Public updated on phases and potential traffic impacts, the Town will be posting the 3-week look-ahead to the Department of Public Works (DPW’s) website under “News and Announcements”; the Town is expecting to receive the first 3-week look-ahead for 2024 on March 21st, and will post it on the following website: https://www.wilmingtonma.gov/public-works
