Public Works
The Wilmington Department of Public Works is broken down into multiple divisions and is responsible for maintaining the Town’s highways, drainage system, trees, parks, cemeteries, water supply, sanitary sewers, refuse, and recycling. The Department maintains more than 110 miles of roadway and associated infrastructure. The Public Works Department also oversees the curbside recycling and solid waste collection program.
TRASH AND RECYCLE CONTRACTOR
CASELLA WASTE SYSTEMS is the residential trash and recycle contractor in Wilmington.
To request a bulk item pick up, you may call Casella at 978-535-6312 and they will schedule that for you.
To request a pickup for White Goods/CRTs (appliances, televisions, monitors etc.) or Mattresses / Box Springs, please call Casella directly at 978-535-6312 to purchase a $25 pickup appointment over the phone.
Yard Waste punch cards are available for purchase at the Town Hall, Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 4:30pm.
