Zoning Bylaws

Our mission is to guide the citizens, businesses and corporations through the zoning and building permit application process.  This process is comprised of the Town of Wilmington Zoning Bylaws and the Masachusetts State Building Code, and is designed to lessen congestion and enhance public safety for the inhabitants of the Town of Wilmington

Starting May 1, 2026, a copy of your new updated license needs to accompany the Plumbing and/or Gas Permit being issued to perform the work to be done. Please be sure to have your license available

***EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY***: All building and demolition permits must have either a No asbestos is found document or an Asbestos Notification Form (ANF-001) from DEP as part of the permit package prior to conducting any renovation or demolition activity.  Click here for further information.

Before any permit can be issued, the Treasurer's Office must certify that all taxes are current per MGL c40 s57
