Heat Event - Wilmington Cooling Center Designation

Dear residents,

With temperatures reaching extreme conditions the next couple of days, Wilmington’s Senior Center has been designated as a Cooling Center open to all residents of any age for Wednesday 7/1 and Thursday 7/2.

To provide extended support to the community, Senior Center activities will end at 5 PM but the facility will remain open for cooling for any resident until 7 PM.

The Wilmington Senior Center is located at 130 Main Street. Parking is located in the back. 

We encourage anyone needing relief from the heat to stop in to cool off. Please be sure to stay hydrated, to stay cool and to check on others. If you have an emergency, please contact 911.
