Today marks a major milestone for many in the community. Residents including our passionate seniors, town personnel and other community members, pivotal in seeing this project to fruition, met onsite today for a celebratory groundbreaking of Wilmington's new Senior Center located next to St. Dorothy's Church on Main Street.

Our crowd included

  • Members of our Select Board, Finance Committee, Elderly Services Commission, Senior Center Focus group, Permanent Building Committee and Senior Center Building Committee.
  • Senator Finegold and Representative Robertson
  • and Town Staff including Town Manager Hull, Elderly Services Director Terry Marciello and her staff as well as Public Buildings Superintendent/Senior Center Building Committee Chairman George Hooper.

There are countless people who have been involved in getting this building project off the ground. We'd like to thank and congratulate everyone (and apologize for those we didn't get photos of).
