Sewer Work Associated with MassWorks Grant Continues

July 20, 2023 Update:  The permanent sewer trench has been installed along Middlesex Ave and road striping will commence as soon as weather permits and crews are available.  Pump station work continues at the Jefferson Ave Pump station. 

Please be advised that sewer installation along Middlesex Avenue (associated with the MassWorks grant) will be commencing on Wednesday November 9, 2022.  The contractor will be starting  November 3rd pre-marking within the project limits, and saw cutting pavement (on 11/7 and 11/8) in advance of their pipe installation start date (11/9).  The project extends along Middlesex Avenue from Jefferson Road to Salem Street.

While full roadway closures are not expected, traffic will be reduced to single lane within the work zone.  As such, minor delays are expected between the hours of 7 am and 4 pm.   We ask that you please travel with caution and obey the directives of police details, and temporary warning signs during construction operations.
